Canton Fair, China’s largest commodities fair is experiencing dramatic changes from this October (October 2008). Firstly, Liuhua Complex will not be used any more; instead, Pazhou Complex will be the only venue. Secondly, the previous two-phase arrangement will be changed into three-phase. Each phase will last 5 days with different product groups. Phase 1 is from 15 – 19 October, exhibiting machinery, electronics and construction products. Phase 2 is from 24 – 28 October, focusing on houseware, garden, gifts and decoration products. Phase 3 is from 2 – 6 November, displaying textiles, garments, cases and bags. Two intervals are separately from 20 – 23 October and 29 October – 1 November. With the adjustments aimed for expansion and specialization, Canton Fair is a gigantic comprehensive exhibition. For the utmost sourcing efficiency for buyers, CACFair – the established marketplace will remain the same in schedule arrangements for its twin events. In phase 1,
CACFair Bathroom & Kitchen will be held on 15 – 19 October, highlighting sanitation, ceramics and construction products. In phase 2,
CACFair Weaving + Home Décor will take place on 23 – 30 October, with the assortment of natural weaving arts, gifts and decorative arterials. As opposed to general merchandise Canton Fair, in the past 12 years, CACFair has found its niche in organizing specialized trade shows. The weaving exhibition has long been recognized as China’s largest trade fair for natural home products, which massively displays baskets, fashion bags, gifts, packaging, garden and decorative items, made or combined with various natural materials. The bathroom fair has been highly regarded as one-stop sourcing platform by gathering sanitary wares as toilets, faucets, basins, sinks, showers, tubs, saunas, ceramics and accessories from China’s leading manufacturing bases.
All in all, despite the changes and market uncertainties, the specialized CACFair events will continue to hold its position firmly and work together with its 1,000 loyal exhibitors to provide a better accommodation of the global market demands.
