shows that home decor, gift baskets & basket ware, garden
& outdoor living see a promising sale in the future
in Canada.
51% of retailers reports sales increase in the past 12 months.
Even though home décor is still on the list of highest-
stocked categories with 26% stocking, comparing fall in
2005, it had drop 14%. The better news is that it's also
listed No. 3 in Top-Growth Categories in 2006. Since about
half (49%) of those stocking are planning to buy more, 42%
will buy the same inventories. And the most popular retail
price range reached to $41-$50. Thus, the home décor market
will embrace a brighter 2007.
Apart from home décor, the future of gift baskets
& basket ware is also promising. Gift baskets &
basket ware is missing from highest- stocked categories.
Stocking of 2006 has decreased 50%, from 28% down to 14%,
while the most popular price range climb from $21-$31 to
$41-$50. To retailers, this is a-double good news.
Situation of garden & outdoor living comes the same
to basket wares. The stocking in fall 2006 dropped to 10%,
and the most pop price range increased $5-$10 to $21-$30.
Retailers are happy to see the ascending
curve in sales. Moreover, 51% of them are very satisfied
with the new products by suppliers and 25% are saying somewhat
satisfied. 87% reported they will buy more when there are
more products to choose from. Obviously, who release the

of this market.

CACFair Weaving + Home Décor. As the No. 1 woven
